I know these aren’t all photos of forests, ferns or leaves but those are all shades of green and these photos are all indeed green. These photos were taken in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, and I find myself always finding new things to photograph there despite it being one of my main places to go…

A forty minute bumpy ride, with engine rumbles disrupting the air that I hear but don’t listen to and even the voices that fill my diminishing personal space are just white noise in my quiet. Somehow I’d forgotten how to lose myself in thought. I’d forgotten what escape was. I’d forgotten that this time was…

This is a spot I have visited several times to take photos, but I have never seen it this green! It honestly feels like a secret fantasy world, even more so when it’s overrun with greenery, and only enhanced further by the fact that it kind of is a bit of a secret, off the beaten track sort of place. I find myself often revisiting places to take photos. I used to be hesitant in doing this because.. if I’ve already been there taking photos, there can’t be any photos left to take, right? But I actually have found that this is a great exercise for improving my photography, since I’m driven to look past…
