I didn’t do a post yesterday even though I’m meant to be posting every day, but I’ll forgive myself because it wasn’t out of laziness it was because I was busy with other things. I recently just felt really inspired to transform and improve my room a bit because it was lacking character. Unfortunately I forgot to take any before pictures but they wouldn’t have been interesting anyway. So.. here’s is a bit of a scrapbook of a few new elements of my room to serve as a bit of a memory for me. So far I absolutely love it! I think it’s just so welcoming and cozy and warm.

So first we have some magical lights.

Then this little bedside table caddy thing which perfectly holds all the things I might need during the night or before bed, like a drink of water, lip balm, tissues, books I’m currently reading and notebooks for jotting down those midnight thoughts. T’was certainly a worthwhile purchase.Processed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e3 preset

This little plant which adds some character to an otherwise plain area of the room. It’s actually a fake plant though unfortunately because my room is way too dark to house any real plants :(Processed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 preset

This clothing rack to hang clothes I’m currently wearing or have recently worn, to get rid of piles of clothes and random hangers dotted around. Also gives me a place to hang my most used bags as well as hats, belts and scarves AND it gets my dirty shoes off the carpet.Processed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 preset

And some final details.Processed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 preset

Also I made a display for my book and I have no shame because I am very proud of it and I deserve to be reminded of that feeling.Processed with VSCO with e1 presetProcessed with VSCO with e1 preset

I still have the other side of the room to makeover, so that post will come whenever it’s done I guess. Hopefully I’ll do some more real writing soon, I suppose this is more as something to look back on, but I hope you liked it anyway!
