For the past couple of months I have been working on crocheting a poncho, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
To make it I used 7 balls of the Cleckheaton California 8ply yarn, in the colour volcano, and a 5mm crochet hook. It is composed of 60 rows in total, 18 for the cowl neck, and 42 in the body. I based it off of a tutorial (which can be accessed here: https://sewchet.com/2014/10/18/tutorial-crochet-poncho/) but I changed it to fit the yarn that I was using, and also added fringes. The yarn itself is amazing quality, made up of 100% wool, so it is extremely warm, awesome for the winter months. So although it was quite an expensive and lengthy project, it was definitely worth it!
Your poncho is beautiful ! I agree with you : if you are investing time making something it is worth working with nice yarn (if you can afford it)
