The sand was filled with sparkles
As the sunset glimmered on the sea
And as it reflected off the water
On the sea shells by my feet.

I wrote the sparkles on my paper
And weaved them in between the lines.
I pocketed all the pretty shells,
Collected all that I could find.

But then the foamy bubbles washing
Across my feet onto the shore,
Stole away all of my precious shells
And the sparkles were no more.
