I have days lined up in bottles,
Hours pouring out the tap.
I fill glass after glass with minutes
And drink more time than can elapse.
It starts with a rush, I’m elated,
Delighted! Can’t fight this high
Of euphoric excitement! I’m full,
Full of life! So fearless I could fly!
I drink three, four days in two,
And several hours become one.
The tap begins to drip, drip, dry, and
My liquid time is drained to none.
Soon my head is more than spinning
I see the world around me twice.
I feel my limbs melt into liquid
And I’m drunk on too much life.
