Every sound is loud
When it is piercing a deafening silence
Whether it be a tiny watch tick
Or the gentle turn of a page
Or your own thoughts screaming
In your mind
Because there is no room for them to be muffled
By the outside voices
Or traffic
Or rain
That causes the constant ringing
In your ears
That can only be heard
In the quiet.
